Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

*Car theft alert* Sadly, several cars have being broken into overnight + dash cams on display stolen. Pineapple estate has featured prominently. Patrols in the ward also reveal *many* dash cams in sight. Please can we ask that you take dash cams/sat navs out of your car overnight to avoid theft. We know that this can be inconvenient but we do appear to have an opportunistic offender(s) and we wish to remove anything that may encourage a potential thief to break into a car.

At this moment in time, enquiries are on going and patrols around the area will be targeted however can we please ask our residents to remain vigilant and contact us if they see any suspicious persons. We would also ask if residents could call us if they suspect a person is trying to sell stolen goods (they may be unboxed, without leads etc).

We will continue to work on this matter but in the meantime, if we can ask you to remove any valuables from your cars, this may help reduce the chance of your car being broken into.

As always, if you suspect crime or have any information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are always stronger working together.

Many thanks

Kindest regards
