Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Good Afternoon Citizen

Firstly, I would like to belatedly wish a Happy Easter to you and I hope that you enjoyed the nice weather we had.

Last night, officers arrested a 28 year old man on suspicion of possession of a knife at the Nisa supermarket, Castle Vale High Street. The man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis. The investigation is still ongoing and as such I can not provide further comment. Officers will focus their patrols in and around this area and will be robust when there are grounds to suspect people are carrying knives and weapons on our streets as this will not be tolerated. If you have any information regarding individuals that you suspect may be regularly carrying knives or other weapons then please tell the police by replying to this message, calling 101, or alternatively via Crimestoppers.

Officers from the team are regularly patrolling the garages at the rear of Minstead Road. Earlier in the year, officers discovered two stolen vehicles that had been placed there with false number plates on them and there is intelligence to suggest that stolen cars may be being placed there regularly. If you have any information about this, please get in touch.
