BT Scam

Alert message sent 04/04/2019 12:36:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch Scotland

The following information was recently circulated by Police Scotland

Fraudsters are known to make calls claiming to work for BT, when it's actually a scam. They may ask you for personal information, want access to your computer and in some cases, ask for your bank details. Don't be fooled, this is fraud. Please click on the link below for more advice on what to look out for.

There are some things BT will never ask you over the phone. If someone claiming to be from BT asks you any of these, it's probably a scam - https://www.bt.com/help/home/scams/
