Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear resident,

An  burglary occurred on FODEN ROAD. The incident happened between the 08/03/19 17:00  to 09/03/19 13:30hrs. The offenders gained access to the property by the rear of the house via means of forcing a window. Unfortunately the offenders conducted an untidy search and made good escape with a few items. If you saw or heard anything or have any information about the above incident please call our non emergency number 101, quoting the reference number 20BW/60850Y/19. Please consider getting anti-snap locks and be weary of suspicious vehicles parked in your area. Check vehicle's registration number through DVLA by using the following link: If the vehicle does not match the description, or has been untaxed for a long period of time please contact 101 or call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Alternatively, visit our website for crime prevention advice or to report a crime by using our intelligent search service or Web-Chat at:

I also want to take this opportunity to remind you that most burglaries and vehicle thefts are committed by opportunist thieves who can be deterred by simple security measures, please consider the following:
• Postcode all your valuable property with a UV pen.
• Fit good quality deadlocks to all exterior doors.
• Fit window locks, especially on the ground floor windows.
• Consider burglar alarm and set it when you go out or go to bed.
• Keep ALL keys (house and cars) away from doors and windows.
• Consider a steering wheel lock for your vehicle.
• Ensure vehicle is kept locked when left unattended.
• Consider starting or joining a Neighbourhood Watch Scheme.

• Encourage your neighbours to sign up to WMNow for regular updates from your local police. For more information please visit the following:
