POLICE WARNING AFTER MACMERRY/ORMISTON BREAK INS

Residents in the Macmerry and Ormiston areas are being advised to check the security on their outbuildings after three break-ins were reported to Police having happened at some point between 5pm on Saturday 2nd March and 9am on Sunday 3rd March.

In one of the break-ins, a padlock was broken but nothing was stolen, in another incident a door was kicked in, but again, nothing stolen and the third an insecure outbuilding was entered and £230 worth of tools were stolen.

If anyone has any information regarding any of these incidents, they should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1470 of 03/03/2019. Alternatively, any information can be reported anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
