Off road motorbikes and anti-social behaviour

Alert message sent 19/02/2019 10:42:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Citizen

Off road bikes, Anti-Social Behaviour and illicit activity cause so many problems for communities. We are aware that around parks, the surrounding streets, along the canal and in town centres they are especially problematic and dangerous.

To take any action on stopping the bikes, ASB and other issues affecting your neighbourhood, the police need information and that information comes from you.

We need information such as;
1. Colours of bikes
2. make/models
3. Where are they are coming from/going to/ and being stored?
4. Names of the riders/ nicknames

This information leads to Warrants being issued and Orders being taken out against individual or locations. In the case of Off Road Bikes, then bikes can be sized and in some cases, crushed.

Between April & Nov 2018 we received reports from the public that identified 56 persons/addresses that were linked to off road bikes ASB, warnings were issued to all these ranging from an initial warning up to an ABC.

The benefit of these reports was that once the warnings were issued the nuisance almost completely disappeared from that area.

We need to work together on tacking this issue any information you may have could be the key to making the area safer, call us on 101 to report off road bikes.
