Good afternoon,
Here is this weeks crime update:

DETECTED CRIMES
In the evening of 17/02/19, officers were called to a disturbance within a property in Milledge, Carluke. A 32 year old man was arrested, and over 270 tablets, suspected to be controlled drugs, were seized. A report was submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
In response to reported concerns from members of the public, officers have stepped up road safety patrols. The safety camera van, which monitors speed has been deployed to the junction at Tinto Hill in response to numerous complaints. On the 15/02/19, Roads Policing officers were in the Clydesdale area, and a 64 year old man was allegedly detected travelling at over 50MPH in the 30 zone at Birthwood Road, Coulter. A number of other alleged Road Traffic Act reports were submitted to the Procurator Fiscal. Inspector Ross McCallum of Lanark Police office said “Speeding drivers, overtaking in unsuitable conditions and general aggressive driving has been reported by a number of members of the public, via Community Council meetings, 101 and even on social media. In every instance, we will endeavour to meet the concerns of the public with a comprehensive response. Work will continue with the Safety Camera Partnership and Roads Policing, both of whom we are grateful to for assistance.”
In the morning of 14/02/19, officers in possession of a search warrant attended a property in Jackson Street Carluke. Drugs, believed to be herbal Cannabis and a small quantity of suspected Cannabis known as Shatter was recovered. A 25 year old man was arrested and detained to appear at court from Custody.
 
 
REPORTED CRIMES
In the morning of 15/02/19a black German Shepherd and a brown lurcher-style dog entered a field at Mayfield Farm, Birkhill Coalburn, and attacked a number of sheep grazing there. The animals were chased into the water before the farmer eventually chase the dogs off. Two sheep were seriously injured, and one had to be destroyed at the scene. Witnesses are sought, and Police are looking for the public to identify the owner of the black German Shepherd and the brown lurcher. Overnight into the 13/02/19, a silver ‘N’ reg Range rover was stolen from Garrelwood Farm, Kirkmuirhill. Witnesses are sought. Those with information are urged to contact Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting incident number 0692 of 13/02/19.
 
Overnight into the 13/02/19, Damhill Farm, Corehouse (near Sandilands) was broken into. Witnesses are sought. Those with information are urged to contact Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting incident number 0796 of 13/02/19.
In the afternoon of 12/02/19, officers in possession of a search warrant forced entry to a property on 16 Bloomgate, Lanark. A substantial suspected Cannabis cultivation containing 179 plants was discovered and dismantled. Enquiry is ongoing. Those with information are urged to contact Police on 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting incident number 1656 of 12/02/19.
