Safer Neighbourhood Team at Swadlincote on Facebook

Officers from our Safer Neighbourhood teams in and around Swadlincote, South Derbyshire are now live on Facebook.
 
The teams will be posting about policing issues covering the town, Gresley, Woodville, Newhall, Midway, Linton, Overseal and Lullington areas. It will include information on crime appeals, local policing and community issues and crime prevention advice as well as sharing more details about their work.
 
People who like the page will also be able to directly message the teams with concerns or issues that don’t require an immediate response.
 
They join their South Derbyshire colleagues in Hilton, Hatton, Etwall, Melbourne and Mercia Safer Neighbourhood Teams who are already on Facebook
 
PCSO Jamie Gutberlet, from the team, pictured receiving his training, said: “Having the Facebook page, as well as our separate twitter accounts, gives us access better two-way communication with our communities.
 
“We will be able to post about local and interesting policing information that will help to keep people safe, but it also provides an opportunity for people to tell us about things that don’t require immediate action.”
