Phone scams again

Alert message sent 31/01/2019 23:02:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

We are still receiving a high number of reports where the elderly community are being scammed out of large amounts of money by scammers pretending to be from their bank or police.

Please spread the message that neither the bank or police or any other agency will instruct you to log into your bank account and transfer money, will NOT ask you personal details about your account, they will NOT ask you to purchase expensive items from shops to help a police investigation and will NOT ask for your bank cards to be collected.

**Please make sure your elderly or vulnerable relatives and neighbours are aware of this scam**
