Alert message sent 28/01/2019 13:13:00

Information sent on behalf of Scottish Borders Council

Good afternoon Citizen

The Met Office have issued a Yellow be aware warning for the potential for Snow and Ice overnight valid from 1am tomorrow morning until midday. There is potential for snow to affect the Western and Central Borders. Everything west of the A68 has the potential to see some snow overnight. Not all areas will see snow but where it does fall then accumulations of 5-10cm on ground above 200m and 1-2cm at lower levels are likely.

As that snow moves south during the day there is a further Yellow warning for all of the north of England this may affect cross borders routes particularly on high ground such as the A68 and A697.

Full details of all the warnings can be found on the Met Office website
