Alert message sent 16/01/2019 15:18:00

Information sent on behalf of West Mids Police

Dear Citizen

A bogus caller burglary has been reported in Bloxwich.  At approximately 3pm on Sunday 13th January a man called at the home of an elderly resident in New Street, claiming that he needed to bleed the radiators.  The man has been allowed entry, he has not done any work on the radiators but had a good look around the living room before leaving.  It is not believed anything was stolen.  The man is described as being white, around 5' 10" tall, clean shaven, of skinny build and was wearing an orange tabard.

If you have any information which may assist in identifying or apprehending this offender please contact us via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am to midnight, call 101 anytime or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting reference number 20WS/11885W/19.

Please remind elderly or vulnerable neighbours not to allow unexpected callers into their homes without thoroughly checking their identity.
