Alert message sent 28/02/2018 16:40:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We're appealing for witnesses after a robbery at Ladbrokes, Regent Circus, Swindon yesterday (Tues 27 Feb 2018).

At just after 9am, an unknown male entered the bookmakers and demanded money from a member of staff behind the counter.   The male member of staff opened the till and the offender took out an amount of cash.

The suspect then left the store running off in the direction of The Savoy pub.

Although shaken the member of staff was not injured.

Det Con Tom Turner said:  "We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man walking in to or running from Ladbrokes on Regent Circus around 9 yesterday morning.
"This part of town would have been busy at this time of the day - someone must have seen something.
"Also, if you heard or saw anything suspicious in this area, at this time, please contact us."

If you can help with our enquiries please contact DC Tom Turner at Swindon CID on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
