    Beat Updates
Uppingham - The proceeding quarter has seen a rise in bilkings at the local petrol station, and reports from public around local vehicles being driven without the correct documentation has increased. Therefore we as a beat team will target vehicle related crime, and look to impact this by use of the Rutland ANPR camera with pro-active stops, and follow up information on defective vehicles (No tax/MOT/insurance) with reactive seizure of relevant cars.
Rutland North/South - We have only had 2 reports through 101 of Hare Coursing for both Rutland North and Rutland South beats which is a dramatic reduction this month for January. We have conducted Op Galileo which is a joint operation with Lincolnshire police and utilised the ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) camera and have recovered 4 vehicles in Rutland for traffic offences. We have had no Burglaries but 1 Burglary Other on Rutland North however there has been 1 Burglary and 4 Burglary Others for Rutland South beat which is now the new priority for both beats. If you see anything suspicious please call 101.
