Alert message sent 09/02/2018 16:11:00

Information sent on behalf of Hampshire Constabulary

Good Afternoon All,

Andover Police have received reports of obscene and extremely offensive graffiti appearing around estates in Andover overnight. At this time we believe that there is likely to be other acts of vandalism which have not yet been reported and we would encourage members of the public to report these to us on 101 when they appear so that it can be investigated and the person(s) responsible may be held accountable.

If you believe you have witnessed the person(s) responsible or have CCTV cameras overlooking the areas affected, then Police would ask you to call 101 and quote crime reference number 44180052885 and pass your details to Police call handlers.

If you believe you are witnessing graffiti/criminal damage being caused at the time, then you should call 999 and give Police call handlers an exact description of the location and as an accurate description of the offenders as you can, describing their;
- Gender
- Age
- Skin colour
- Height
- Build
- Clothing
- Hairstyle and colour
- Any facial features or other distinguishing features
- If they are carrying anything

Police would also ask that you do not attempt to stop the offenders yourselves, and to let attending officers deal with the situation.

Thank you for your attention.
