Good afternoon Citizen,

Police have launched an investigation after reports that a woman was sexually assaulted in Kingshurst, Solihull on Sunday (4 February).

It is believed that the 26-year-old was walking home through Babbs Mill Recreation Ground at around 9pm when she was attacked.

As soon as we were informed, we commenced a comprehensive investigation. Specially trained officers have spoken to the woman, but to date we have only been provided with very limited information. I would appeal for anyone who might have seen or heard something suspicious to get in touch.

"A team of officers have scoured CCTV for any clues and patrols have been stepped up in and around the area to offer reassurance to the community.

"I am also keen to speak to anyone who was in Babbs Lane Recreational Ground, Schofield Road or surrounding roads between 8.30pm and 9.30pm and saw anything suspicious. Please call me or one of my team as soon as possible.

"You may think that what you saw bears no significance to this case, but your information could be extremely significant."
