Alert message sent 02/02/2018 10:30:00

Information sent on behalf of Surrey Police

Dear Residents,

Good news this morning.

Yesterday evening, following information from some eagle eyed residents, invaluable local knowledge from two of our PCSOs, and some fast time enquires by our Op Spearhead burglary team, a 22-year old male was arrested on suspicion of a few burglaries in the area.

At the same time, a number of stolen items have been recovered and the investigation team as reviewing them to link them back to their rightful owners.

Whilst in custody, the investigation team dealt with the male relentlessly and have secured 30 charges against him for 3 dwelling burglaries, and 27 related fraud by false representation offences.

He was denied bail and remanded to court this morning.  Hopefully the court will keep him in custody pending his initial hearing.

This is great news for the borough.

Kind regards

Patrick McCann
