Fake currency in Penzance

Police have received a report of a fake £20 note being passed at the McDonald’s drive-through in Longrock Industrial Estate on Tuesday 24 October.

Officers would like you to ensure all staff know what to do if they suspect a banknote is counterfeit. The Bank of England offers advice for retailers and businesses on its website.

If you come across a counterfeit banknote, it is important that the police are contacted in all instances. Please contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101.
