Closure order granted for address in Manor Park

Alert message sent 17/10/2017 13:31:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

On Wednesday (11/10) Thames Valley Police was granted a closure order in relation to a property in Manor Park, Slough.

The closure order was granted by East Berkshire Magistrates Court under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014.

The order is in place for a period of three months from the date of issue and excludes anyone from entering the property, except for the tenant and specified agencies.

The closure order was the result of complaints received from the tenant, a vulnerable 50-year-old woman, over a number of months. This action was taken after groups of men and women had been targeting the victim which led to incidents of public disorder at the address.

PC Stacey Wildridge, of the Slough North Neighbourhood Team, stated: "Closure orders are designed to reduce anti-social behaviour suffered by residents in an area. This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and we will continue to work with partner agencies to tackle these types of issues.

“Anyone affected by anti-social behaviour can contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101 and ask to speak to their local neighbourhood team.”
