Horsham murder investigation - detectives' appeal for information

A murder investigation has been launched following the fatal stabbing of a man at a property in Park Way, Horsham, on Tuesday (19 September).

Emergency services were called to a report of a man who had been stabbed at 5.10pm. Despite the efforts of police and paramedics, the 37-year-old victim sadly died at the scene from his injuries.

He is believed to be Anthony Williams from Broadbridge Heath, although he has not been formally identified. His family have been informed.

Four people have been now been arrested in connection with his murder. Two men aged 18 and 22 both from London and a woman aged 22 were arrested 40 minutes after the stabbing at Littlehaven railway station in Horsham and a 30-year-old man was arrested later on last night (Tuesday).

The men were detained on suspicion of murder and the woman was detained on suspicion of assisting an offender. They are currently in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Heater from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Anthony Williams at this very difficult time.

“We have four people in custody at this time and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have information.”
