Thefts from vehicles – Aylesbury East area

The Aylesbury East Neighbourhood Policing Team (NHPT) is still receiving reports of thefts from vehicles in the area, where windows have been smashed, or the vehicles have been left unlocked.

Please remain vigilant and check your vehicle before you go to bed. Make sure you lock it and set the alarm if you have one. Remove all property from inside. It is not enough to hide valuables – opportunist criminals know all the places to look.

Some of the incidents have been around school starting times so being aware of people you don’t recognise, hanging around vehicles looking suspicious, or out of place. Call it in to the police, at the time that you see them, on the 24 hour non-emergency number 101, or 999 if a crime is happening at that time.

For further crime prevention information visit Thames Valley Police. If you have any information about these crimes, or you want to speak to your local NHPT please call on 101.

If you have information, but don’t want to speak to the police, or give your details, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or report it online.
