SPEEDWATCH INDIAN QUEENS SCHOOL

Alert message sent 05/06/2017 16:56:00

Information sent on behalf of Devon and Cornwall Police

Today St Columb police staff with assistance from Newquay and Wadebridge carried out a speedwatch initiative with year six students at Indian Queens, who are JRSO Junior Road Saftey Officers.
The children had the use of speed guns and recorded the number of vehicles that passed and the amount of those travelling in excess of the 30 mph limit. Police staff brought in those drivers who were driving above the limit and the children asked some set questions.
Positive outcome for all concerned and we will endeavor to carryout more of these events and hopefully the message that speed can kill may sink in.
regards AL
